Hi, I'm Kirsty
I’m the founder of Sauce Studio, an industrial designer working with architects, interior designers, contractors, property developers, and hospitality operators to bring spaces to life through custom steel features, furniture, and fittings.
Trained in both industrial design and brand communications, I design with equal attention to form, function, and feeling. I think deeply about how objects are made, how they live within a space, and the experience they create for the people who interact with them.
Through Sauce, I design steel pieces that are sculptural, purposeful, and thoughtfully tailored to their environment. Sustainability sits at the core of my practice. I aim to leave the lightest possible footprint by carefully considering the materials I specify, the manufacturers I collaborate with, the environments in which pieces are produced and placed, and what happens to them over time.
Every project is approached with care, ensuring that each design exists with intention, longevity, and respect for both people and planet.
I believe that design isn't just about function, it's about feeling.
I started Sauce because I wanted to create more than beautiful objects. I wanted to design pieces that invite attention, elevate everyday moments, and feel like they truly belong in a space. Often times steel is put into a space to serve a function with less design consideration than maybe other features. To me, steel is endlessly versatile, it can be refined or raw, both structural and sculptural, and I love exploring what's possible.

What Makes Sauce Different
I strive to deliver sustainable solutions, combining design thinking with technical precision. Every project is tailored to your aesthetic, your site conditions, and the realities of local fabrication. I speak the language of visionaries, creatives and makers, so nothing gets lost in translation.
You'll get clear communication, refined drawings, and a collaborative process that doesn't add unnecessary stress to your timeline.
Outside the studio, I’m a mom, maker, lover of beautiful objects and someone who believes great design has the power to shift how we feel in a space and that it should be approached with both intention and joy. My personal motto is 'living gently, gently living'.
